Idaho attorney recognized for contributions to the Latino community.

Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group, on behalf of the Diversity Section of the Idaho State Bar, worked with the Idaho State Bar Indian Law Section and Idaho Chapter of the Federal Bar Association to present a CLE at the Idaho State Bar 2010 Annual Conference, July 14-16, in Idaho Falls. The topic was Tribal Law and Order. CMC attorney Robert Teffeteller moderated the well attended Friday seminar.
Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group congratulates Ernesto G. Sanchez for receiving the Idaho State Bar Diversity Section First Annual Access to Justice Award. It was unanimous that Mr. Sanchez, the director of Idaho Legal Aid Services, was the most deserving of this award based on his career long efforts to bring diversity to the profession and to ensure access to justice for all.
Natalie Camacho Mendoza attended the June 22, 2010 groundbreaking ceremonies for Concordia University School of Law. The school is located on 5 th and Front Street, Boise. The school will open in 2011. Natalie serves on the Concordia University School of Law Advisory Committee. She has committed to work with the marketing and recruitment subcommittee.
The firm attorneyswere pleased to attend the open house for the Idaho Human Rights Commission. The firm attorneys were able to have a dialogue with A. Luis Lucero Jr., EEOC, Director / Seattle Field Office.
Natalie was elected to the Idaho State Bar Indian Law Section At-Large Council. The section will sponsor a seminar and produce a 2011 issue of the Idaho State Bar Advocate.
Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group was happy to sponsor a 13 year old Bass fisherman, Mr. David Ashton. He has participated in several tournaments this summer. We are proud of his dedication and commitment. It is great to see a young man enjoying an activity with such passion.


Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group has also sponsored an Optimist little league football team, “CMC Law”. We support the efforts to teach these youngsters about teamwork, good sportsmanship, fitness and the fundamentals of football.
Natalie Camacho Mendoza is now included in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) Order of the Jurista and Order of Certa. She is also a new member of the Diversity Institute of the LCA.
Natalie has also become a member of the Texas Bar Entertainment and Sports Law Section.
At the request of prior seminar attendees, Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group produced our second business seminar, “Social Media Use In Business, the Impact it May Have on Your Business Operations”. Robert Teffeteller and Ron Coulter provide information about marketing, productivity, legal issues associated with the use of Social Media including privacy, employment and first amendment issues. The seminar has been given to specific audiences with positive feedback.
Camacho Mendoza has been given the opportunity to sponsor a child in Kenya. Our sponsorship will pay the year tuition for an orphaned child or the child of a single parent to attend school. We are happy to support the non-profit work of Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope, Inc.
Camacho Mendoza sponsored a hole at the 2010 Jalapeno Open. The proceeds from the golf tournament will go towards the Richard G. Cortez Scholarships for Latino students studying business. The scholarship is sponsored by the Hispanic Business Association of Idaho.
Robert Teffeteller and Natalie Camacho Mendoza continue to consult with individuals in the Idaho film industry to assist with legal assistance, further development of businesses and employment opportunities.
Natalie traveled to Rapid City, South Dakota working with the Program Committee of the Northwest Area Foundation. The trip included a visit to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the home of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe. Natalie had an opportunity to visit with the owners and operators of Tanka Bars. Tanka Bars are a high protein bar made of buffalo and dried berries or peppers. The recipe is one of the Native People. Congratulations on a successful growing business operated from Pine Ridge.
Natalie was selected as the 2010 Regence Latino Hero Award for her contributions to the Latino Community. The award recognizes individuals of Latino descent who have given back to the community and have impressive professional or educational accomplishments. Natalie is also featured in a Regence advertising campaign.
Natalie also attended the 2010 Annual Conference of the Hispanic National Bar Association in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she was able to hear from notable speakers such as Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Conner, Senator Al Franken, Latino legal scholars, Latino and African American Judges and Latino attorneys from across the country. At the conference the Hispanic National Bar Association released its 2010 National Study and Report by the Commission on Latinas in the Legal Profession: La Voz De La Abogada Latina: Challenges and Rewards in Serving the Public Interest.
While in the Twin Cities, Natalie was able to attend the Jennifer Easton Community Spirit Awards.The First Peoples Fund honored six culture bearers for their art and community contribution. Congratulations to Richard Zane Smith, Wyandot Tribe; Ramona Peters, Mashpee Wampanoag; Wade Fernandez, Menominee; Therese St. Cyr, Oglala Lakota; Trudie Lamb Richmond, Schaghticoke and Bud Lane III, Siletz. The First Peoples Fund also recognized Elouise Cobell for her contribution to the Fund, a recognition well deserved.Newsletter
